- 2.5 GPA or equivalent
- Major in anthropology, history, Alaska Native or American Indian studies, or other disciplines with a course of study that involves research and study of Alutiiq culture.

About Larry Matfay
The Larry Matfay Cultural Heritage Scholarship is named in honor of Larry Matfay. Matfay was an Alutiiq elder and the last chief of Akhiok.
